BEHIND THE BLOOMS

I'm the flower-obsessed, cowboy boot-wearing, vintage-truck-driving force behind Bass River Blooms. Born and raised in South Yarmouth, I grew up near the Bass River bridge (hence the name!) with a deep appreciation for Cape Cod's natural beauty and tight-knit community.

When I'm not cruising around the Cape in Dolly—my beloved 1970 Ford pickup—you'll find me hunting for unique vessels at antique shops, collaborating with local artists, or dreaming up new ways to bring floral joy to familiar places.

Bass River Blooms isn't just another flower business. It's my way of blending everything I love: Cape Cod's natural beauty, the character of vintage treasures, the warmth of community gatherings, and the magic that happens when people create something beautiful with their own hands.

I'm Olivia!

hi there,

"Olivia’s professionalism and bright, welcoming spirit was embraced by our children! She was warm and friendly, greeting each child with a smile. She was not only patient as the children carefully selected the right color and the flower that was “just right”, she supported and encouraged each of their individual personalities."

FROM IDEA TO BLOOM

2020

While the world was making sourdough, I was living in Austin, Texas at the time. I fell in love with the western aesthetic, cowboy boots, and vibrant creative community.

2021

Returned home to Cape Cod with fresh inspiration and a growing dream to create something unique for the community I grew up in.

2022

Found Dolly, my 1970 Ford pickup truck, and immediately knew she was going to be the heart of something special. Named her after Dolly Parton (because who else embodies that perfect blend of vintage charm and timeless joy?).

2024

Bass River Blooms officially hit the road! Our first season brought pop-ups at local businesses, private events, and more flower-filled adventures than I could have imagined.

2025 & Beyond

Expanding our offerings with seasonal workshops, photoshoot rentals, and collaborative events while continuing to bring fresh blooms to every corner of Cape Cod.

CAPE COD'S NATURAL BEAUTY

inspired by....

Growing up surrounded by salt marshes, beaches, and gardens shaped my appreciation for natural beauty in all its forms. The colors and textures of Cape Cod's landscape influence every arrangement I create.

VINTAGE TREASURES

inspired by....

There's something special about objects with history. Dolly, my 1970 Ford pickup, is at the heart of Bass River Blooms, but my love for vintage doesn't stop there. Every pop-up features carefully curated second-hand props and vessels that tell their own stories.

WESTERN
VIBES

inspired by....

My time in Austin, Texas left an indelible mark on my style. You'll always find me in cowboy boots, bringing a touch of western warmth to the coastal Cape Cod scene. It's this unexpected combination that makes Bass River Blooms different from your typical Cape business.

MY MOM'S ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT

inspired by....

My mom was a business owner on Cape Cod who taught me that success comes from creating something authentic and community-focused. The gurgle vase in our logo was her favorite—a small tribute to the woman who showed me how to build something meaningful in the place you love.

Every pop-up and private event is a chance for people to slow down, connect with nature, and leave with something beautiful they made themselves.

I believe in supporting local flower farmers whenever possible, reducing waste through second-hand props and vessels, and creating experiences that bring communities together. Bass River Blooms isn't just about selling flowers—it's about creating moments of connection and creativity that brighten someone's day long after the blooms have faded.

In a world of mass-produced everything, Bass River Blooms brings back the joy of creating something with your own hands.
